Im 10 weeks pregnant and was switched from lithium to latuda during my pregnancy and am not liking it too much. Im feeling very irritable and wondering if anyone else is in the same situation, Im thinking of just stopping it.

I did read that Latuda is considered to be a "safer" drug to take while pregnant all right. But just if it were my own personal decision, if it came to any risk factor at all concerning the developing fetus, I wouldn't take the chance at all. How bad are your bipolar symtoms, and do you think you could hack it through the next 6 1/2 mths... just as long as the baby is delivered, then going back on the lithium at that point?
If you don't feel you CAN hack it without any drugs at all, another avenue worth investigating are ECT treatments. This method of treatment carries no risk at all to the baby, & even though it may sound like a scary option, considering that you are pregnant, want zero risk for your baby I am sure... well maybe it is worth researching if your bipolar is serious. Good luck with your decision, & God Bless both you and your baby. Plus, congratulations!
