These pills resemble vitamins but I witnessed a convicted drug offender drop them as he rumaged thru his car.

Hello,
Then they are probably illicit.
In order to ID a pill/capsule they must have an imprint , without it , it is impossible to ID them online.
I suggest you take it to your local pharmacy, perhpas the Pharmacist / Chemist may be able to help you out.
