I have been taking Humira injections and Prednisone for psoriatic arthritis for a few months. I just found out I have an infected root canal and I started on penicillin ... So I was told to discontinue my Humira until I'm done with penicillin.. I am due for a shot in a couple of days.. So in addition to my root canal procedure tomorrow (yikes) I am worried about a flare-up... Any one ever have to stop taking Humira and not flare-up?

Because you have something your immune system can fight, getting off of Humira will give your immune system a chance to fight it.
I understand your concern though. I have RA and was concern when I had a surgery on my knee about being off Humira. But the immune system is there to fight foreign invaders like bacteria and viruses. So let it. When you are better, get back on it so it won't go back attacking YOU.
