I am looking for anyone who has used suboxone for a year or more (because thats how long my treatment will last) and has successfully completed it. It doesn't matter to me if you relapsed afterwards, i just want to hear from anyone who has been on a "regular dose" 8-16mg a day and has successfully gotten off the suboxone and how it was for them. I am just really nervous about getting off the suboxone; I have heard so many horror stories, i would just like to hear a good one. Thanks for your time.

Hi there. You have def. Come to the right place! If you check out the community forum section in featured conditions you can read A LOT about comming off of subs. A couple people on this site are known for helping many many many people taper sucessfully comfortably!! I'm currently in the process of tappering my methadone low enough to switch to sub, to tapper off and the info from the people on this site has me more exited and less afraid since I've seen so much success. You can also open a thread in the forum and ask your question there and you may get more of a response. Not that you won't get any here, but I have noticed I been able to get answers there as well.
Please keep us informed through your entire journey by journeling your experiance as it will help others who seek the piece of mind! I wish u the very best!!

Well I was on suboxone for 8 months and was supposed to be on them longer but I voluntarily stopped them so I could have surgery. They wouldn't do the surgery if sub. was in my system. I stopped 4 days before. I was taking 8mg in morn but some times 16. But I can honestly say that except for GI upset I was fine. That is just me others may be different.
