I've been taking them together for about 3 weeks and I feel nothing. Still just alternately depressed and anxious. How long should I wait for results? It's so frustrating. :( Thanks for any replies

The Adderall is canceling out the Celexa. Adderall is a stimulant med, which speeds up your central nervous system (CNS) and can give you racing thoughts, make you shake, and make you feel like you can't sit still. I'd gradually wean off the Adderall, first of all. And Celexa--I despise this SSRI anti-depressant and it's cousin, Lexapro. They are useless most of the time. I highly suggest Effexor or Effexor XR, or it's newer version: Pristiq (which doesn't have a generic available yet, if money is an issue or if you don't have insurance) also, Zoloft is usually a safe choice too. Then, I think you should be on an anti-anxiety medicine like Klonopin twice a day with the (anti-depressant), if the Effexor or Zoloft doesn't do the job. At first while you are adjusting to the meds, you may feel more anxious and have insomnia or you may feel very tired. If you try this combo and it helps a little, you may need a mood stabilizer added down the road to calm your mind. I reccommend risperdal or Geodon. Hope this is helpful.
