Son 24 for 2 yr on this med now has 17% decrease in lung diffusion + some atrial fib incidents: had 4 successful cardioversions all the while on Amiodarone. This time doc stopped Amio. & started Digoxin, Diltiazem, Coreg, and has returned to sinus rhythm but doc decided to put back on Amiodarone! Is this the only option?
Anyone dealing with decreased lung diffusion while on Amiodarone?

Sorry don't have answer but currently looking to switch from amiodarone. Been on it for 6 years n had 6 cardioversions. Don't understand if other meds worked why Dr. put him back on AMIO. Did he have side effects ? I'm 60 n going to ask my Dr. about those meds for me. I'm currently on Coreg 80mg also. I never smoked n now I need inhalers cause of weasing n shortness of breath. Side effects of AMIO. Good luck. If Dr. switches his meds please advise name.
