I have been using Savella samples that my PA gave me, a few months worth.
I don't have insurance and am starting to panic alittle about sustaining myself on them as they do wonders for my fibro pain. I would be a vegetable at 61 without them. I tried searching to see if milnacipran is actually manufactured in the US as a generic, I see that the online drugstores have it, much cheaper, from Canada? Any advice? thank you in advance
Any info on Milnacipran (generic) for Savella?

Mindy, who is the manufacturer? I have a partial list of patient assistance programs & others do too. Maybe we can get you help if we know the manufacturer. I am getting ready to go to the doctor so hopfully will be back soon to try to help. Wish me luck! ... Mary632009
Hi taleese, i am in the middle of my search of manufacturers and almost ALL were from China and a few from India. I really hesitate to get from those sources because of quality control of ingredients plus i have celiac disease and have to really know for sure there isn't ANY gluten in the drugs. Let me know what you find out, i will keep you posted too, will befriend you and thanx for weighing in here, minda

Hello,
"There are no generic Savella (milnacipran) products licensed for sale at this time. The medication is currently under the protection of a patent that prevents any generic versions from being manufactured and sold in the United States. The earliest predictable date that a generic version of Savella could become available is November 2021."

looks like you already received an answer on this definately get ahold of the patient assistance # provided. Usually it only takes about 2 weeks to get paperwork in and processed. If you go into the website you should be able to print off the patient assistance paperwork then fill out your portion.
You will then need to have your Dr. fill out a portion & give you a prescription.
Hope you get all of this processed asap/ You might want to ask your Dr. for more samples to hold you out until you get the paperwork approved.
Usually Dr.s are very understanding about giving addl samples.
Best of luck. sorry it took awhile to get back to you. I have been off the website for several weeks as I have not been feeling well. take care, Kathy
Thank you Kathy, and everyone else for helping with this, really appreciate you all, mInda
