... panic attack is severe and for sleep I'm on halcion .25mg 1 sometimes 2 if I can't sleep. I am also on suboxone for my heroin addition. The klonopins work great but the valum and halcion don't really help. Is there a better med I can take when I get a panic attack and a better med for sleeping? When it comes to sleeping I have tried trazidone, risteral 15mg and 30, ambian. The suboxone is what makes me not sleep so can anyone help me.

The valium and klonopin are both benzodiazepines. The valium is not going to help much on top of the dose of Klonopin you are taking. I suggest you take the Suboxone one time a day as it is a long acting med and take it in the morning. If you are still having a problem with sleep, you might try Seroquel as it will make you sleepy and will help with the anxiety.

Hello hlocke14. Just to add my thoughts to what laurie suggested, in regards to Seroquel, the downside (if its a problem) is an increase in weight. I was on seroquel some years ago and weight was an issue. Another drug that can help in regards to sleep is Remeron which I currently take for sleep. And yes, down side in my case is weight gain. yeah that was another things it made me gain weight and i hated it. no matter what i didnt couldnt keep the weight off.

With all these prescribed meds I would have to point you to your Dr for this answer. Drug interactions can be serious and any suggestion I make may be something that works for me, but even if I am on the same "cocktail" as you, the affect on me will be different. Report all this to the prescribing physician, that is who is best qualified to make any adjustment. Hope this helps.

See this is where I go to my pharmacist to ask for advice. They know almost more than the doctors when it comes to what goes with what and how strong a chance of side effects you could have. Try a good civil chat with yours. It's very important.

too many benzo's can have a reverse effect on your system. just stick with one of them. what is your doctor thing perscribing that much benzo. sounds like you could lower your dose of sub and dont take it after 4pm. it takes 100 min to take full effect so by 6pm you should not need more sub. the more benzos you take the more your brain is gonna crave to be put back to that level. thats why you cant sleep.your brain has stop making it own natrual sleep chems... subzero58
