Celexa (generic - 20 mg in morning)... not helping at this point. Should I ask my doctor to increase dosage or try something else? Doc also gave me 0.5 mg of Xanax but I hate using the benzos. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

It can take upwards of a month to reach maximum effectiveness. If it has been 4 to 6 weeks since you started might want to talk to doc about trying a different med. Unfortunately it is a trial and error sort of ordeal, but well worth the effort once you find the one that works for you. Hang in there!!
