rodlangCelexa (generic - 20 mg in morning)... not helping at this point. Should I ask my doctor to increase dosage or try something else? Doc also gave me 0.5 mg of Xanax but I hate using the benzos. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

It can take upwards of a month to reach maximum effectiveness. If it has been 4 to 6 weeks since you started might want to talk to doc about trying a different med. Unfortunately it is a trial and error sort of ordeal, but well worth the effort once you find the one that works for you. Hang in there!!

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I've been on Celexa since July so it should have kicked in. Actually, I was feeling better until a week ago and things really took a turn for the worse with a return of the anxiety and feeling awful, not sleeping well, etc. I do have a doctor appt. this week so time to discuss and see if I can get some relief.
Definitely time for a discussion with the doc. Let us know how it goes.
Saw my doctor yesterday and he upped the Celexa from 20 mg to 40 mg. We'll see how it goes.
