This is only for general anxiety or social anxiety and for men. I'm on antidepressants and I struggle with anxiety. I don't have any close friends and I have never had a girlfriend before. How has antidepressants changed your life like were you more confident when it came to women? I am 18 and going to college so I hope my antidepressant starts to work. I am really sensitive and insecure. Did it improve your self esteem overall?

hi NBA, do you only want men to respond to your question? Or can women also respond? You may get more answers if you add women into the mix.
Most antidepressants take a while to work. How long have you been taking an antidepressant? If it has been more than six weeks, and you do not feel any improvement, please tell your doctor about this. You may be on the wrong antiD. There are so many meds to chose from and doctor's don't always get it right the first time.

I hope you are seeing a Psychiatrist for your Mental health issues as I feel that they are the only docs that should be prescribing head meds.
Pcp's dole them out all of the time. I personally believe a small dose of Klonopin will help with your social and whatever anxieties you may have. Please see a shrink and explain and discuss your options with a specialist with the knowledge to treat.

I am seeing my family doctor and he is against benzos. He wouldn't allow it. But I will take your advice if I have time to in college.
