bad bad allergies, including hospitlization due to allergic reaction to penicillin. Is it ok to take amoxicillian ? Need to know ASAP! Please help!!

That is a hard question to answer. I am very allergic to pennicillian, but can take amoxicillian which really surprised my doctor, but he said(he's my allergy doctor too) that it does happen as the make up is different. Hate to have you try it & be allergic. I wish you the best... Mary632009

Well, I don't know! I still take the amoxicillian occasionaly, & it doesn't bother me, but then everyone is diffferent! good luck!
