Do antibiotics expire?

if you take an antibiotic that is past the expiration are they not effctive?

Yes, all medications expire, once they expire they are no good.

You should not have any antibiotics sitting around waiting to expire if you took them like you are supposed to. You are supposed to take them until they are gone, not until you start feeling better.
