I'm using shield ointment, bisacodyl(stool softener) and metrogyl 400 (for infection). But bisacodyl causes diarrhea and leads to irritation. Pls help me. There is a new treatment for hemmorroids & I think if could work for fissures also , but you would need to check with your gastroentoerologist. It's called CHR O'Regan System untilizes a non surgical patented device, suppose to be fast, (as little as 60 seconds) painless (return to work ths same day) proven, easy, (no anestesthsia, fasting or other prep, & covered by most insurance plans. I wish you the best of luck... Mary632009
