If it is a tablet, then no, it is not time-release. The time-release versions come in capsule form.
I have just verified this is correct. The oblong (football) shaped tablets are blue, have b 972 on one side, and 1 0 on the other. It is scored vertically on the 1 0 side, and both sides have quarter pill notches on both sides.
Cutting or breaking this pill is not a problem.
