All medical personnel and literature that accompanies your prescription drug will tell you that you should not take alcohol with any drugs. That being said, you will need will need to listen to what your body is telling you. I am in a similar situation as you and so far there has not been any problem. My hematologist, one of the top in the country, knows and has not made a big deal about it.
