Hello robertmavilla. I don't recommend drinking alcohol because azithromycin as you know is an antibiotic. And drinking alcohol, along with an antibiotic isn't advised for it diminishs the potency of the drug. More often than not, the anti-biotic will leave your body sooner than its supposed to, so your system, metabolism, is not receiving the full benefit of the drug. And you do run the risk of the unknown in regards to side effects. We all react differently when it comes to the various drugs. I'd wait untill you've finished using azithromycin, then you know you're good to go so to speak. best wishes.
