Recently, I was given a nebulizer treatment for bronchitis. I was also given albuterol to be taken on an as need basis. Within 4 days of the treatment and albuterol, I had a blood work done. My blood glucose numbers were in the range of a diabetic! These numbers were not normal and were out of the norm from my prior year physical blood work. Would albuterol cause this spike in glucose?

Yes, albuterol can cause hyperglycemia.
