After trying many different SSRI's my MD finally tried me on Luvox CR first at 100mg, then 200, and?

It took years to find the right combination of drugs to help me. It started with post-partum depression, and took off from there. It started 15 years ago, when I was 31 y/o. I, too, have ADD. No one listened to me til a nurse practitioner did, about 5-6 years ago. They started just giving me SSRIs (Zoloft, Luvox, Prozac, Paxil, probably others), none of which worked very long. Luvox caused horrible urinary retention, almost to the point where I couldn't void at all. Prozac caused night terrors. I am now on Wellbutrin 300mg, Vyvanse 60mg, Lamictal 400mg,Cymbalta 60mg, and Trazadone 25mg for sleep. If I don't take either Wellbutrin or Lamictal (haven't decided which one), my vision will "jitter" back and forth really quickly, like nystagmus. Without Cymbalta, I am very teary for no reason at all (cried at Hallmark commercials). Lamictal was the key, as PPD can become bipolar II if it does not resolve, as happened to me.

I know you are on quite a few psych meds, and I would like to decrease mine, but sometimes it takes a combo to work. I have gone to a different psych (was seen once) for a second opinion on my meds., just because I think something is still not working. I am starting to be more compulsive (have to be listening to an audio book nearly all the time or I get a panicky feeling, can't stop playing solitare once I start, still can't focus well or complete tasks before starting another). I would love to hear from you, and hope you are doing well.
