After time can generic loratidine loose its effectivness?

Yes, it's possible for antihistamines to lose effectiveness over time, as your histamine receptors will down-regulate (get used to and compensate for) the drug.

I have this problem with all drugs that affect histamine receptors. I can only take drugs like these once or twice a week or they stop being effective. It could just be me, though, with this type of problem.
