I'm a opiate dependent and am going thru withdrawl symptoms and I was presrciped 10mg methadone and jus wantes to see how long it takes for the affects to work since I still feel the withdrawl symptoms? Or should I take one more pill?

The methadone should work for opiate withdrawal effects fairly quickly like within a couple hours. Don't know how much opiate you are use to taking so can't do the conversion for you. If you could provide a little more info would be glad to help further. I wouldn't take more than what was prescribed.
