Both Viagra and alcohol can have similar effects on blood vessels, causing them to dilate (open wider). However, studies did not show such problems in men who combined the two to achieve a blood alcohol level of 0.08 percent (legally intoxicated).
Although studies indicate that combining alcohol with Viagra is unlikely to cause problems, it is a good idea to be aware of problems that could theoretically occur due to overly dilated blood vessels, such as: Dizziness; A rapid heart rate (tachycardia); Low blood pressure.
You should talk with the doc/pharmacist about alcohol consumption and Viagra. There may also be other medical reasons why you should not consume alcohol.
Take care, best wishes!
