Senior male with lifetime hypertension, but no other medical problems, took many meds without effect. Recent addition of Spirolactone normalized hypertension in first week. Wishing to reduce or discontinue as many of the other meds as possible, am seeking advice on best way to do this.
After normalizing hypertension by adding spironolactone, which of the other meds might I DC?

If you are now normalized then I recommend you leave it be. If it is working then dont change anything! I know that is probably not the answer you wanted but if you are now normalized then all the meds are working. If you stop some of the meds, it could screw things back up again. If you list your meds I can take a look to see if any might be d/c'd but they are probably all finally doing the job together.
