The shaking has decreased but i am very nervous/anxious to the point of it being life changing. things i did before i now cant do and have cancelled things like hairdressers cos i dare not go. never been so afraid in my life. i am used to coping with my problems and getting on with it and now feel stopped in my tracks. i went into hospital with an a.f. attack, which i have done for 5 yrs now after thyroid probs. the consultant just said i dont think the sotalol is working so stop taking them and we will giv e you flecainide. i knew after a week that they didnt suit me. i felt so ill. was shaking so bad. i went to the a and e and they gave me bisoprolol for the shaking, this worked slightley but couldnt take bigger dose cos heart rate would have been too slow. i wrote the cardiologist telling him of the reaction i was having but didnt get a reply. my g p has been very good and he has seen me having these side effects and has given me support through it.

i stopped taking flecainide but the side effects persist. i am getting better because the symptoms are not as strong but its this nervousness and sheer terror that is getting me down. takes a lot of fighting and strength and im tired out with it all. thank you for your answer i appreciate it. there are a lot of people out there far worse off than me and i cant afford to feel sorry for myself. thanks.
