Hi Amandagm. I looked up the monograph for Afinitor online and it indicates the taking of your dose with or without food and that the tablet may be dissolved in water but do not cut, crush or chew the tablet. I would take that to mean that it is safe to use something other than water to take it with, as long as adequate fluid is used to dissolve the tablet. Generally, a full glass of water means 6-8 oz. Your pharmacist should be able to help clarify this if you want to ask them for more information.
