From my understanding this is supposed to be little white pills with dark blue spots, and it is supposed to say Adipex on the pills. My grandfather started taking this medication, but the spots are only light blue, and it only has a bunch of numbers on the pills, instead of Adipex. Could there have been a mistake at the pharmacy? Did they give him the wrong pills, or is this a generic brand?

I take the generic form and it is a oblong white pill with the dark blue spots throughout it. It does not say anything else on the pill. There may be other generic forms though. Here is a link to a pill identifier site where you can enter in the specifics of his pill and make sure though. I would enter the numbers that you said are on the pills.
