I am taking adderall xr 20 mg. usually take it while having my morning 100%DECAF coffee. I know that caffeine interferes, but is decaf ok? I tried a regular cup one day and it made me jittery and gave me headache.

Decaf shouldn't have any negative affect when combined with adderall, however, decaffeinated coffee still contains a small amount of caffeine. If you think you may be hypersensative to either medications in general or in this case, stimulants, then it would behoove you to lay off the coffee. Otherwise, even regular coffee used sparingly shouldn't have too bad of an interaction. The main thing is to pay close attention to your heart rate. Combining stimulants can cause tachycardia (very fast heartbeat) or worse, heart palpitations. If you seem fine after taking the adderall and washing it down with some decaf then odds are you wont be at too high of a risk for these things. Just monitors your heart rate and blood pressure periodically (at Walmart or grocery store pharmacy for free) and ensure it doesn't get to high. Or just talk with your gp.
