Acetaminophen/Oxycodone - which is better for pain oxycodone 10 mg/aceaninophen 375 mg,or?

Oxycodone works much better for pain than hydrocodone. If you don't mind me asking, why aren't you on an extended release form of pain medication? Obviously you have chronic pain and it's very unusual to remain on short acting meds for long term pain. Most pain specialists will prescribe the extended release and a medication like the oxycodone for breakthrough pain control. Over the years, that much acetaminophen may be harmful to your liver. Hydrocodone (Vicodin) is prescribed,more often, for mild to moderate pain. Oxycodone/Acetaminophen (tylenol) is prescribed for moderate to sever pain. The chemical strength difference between the two is simply this.. a 7.5mg Vicodin is equivalent to 5mg of Oxycodone/APAP (Percocet) It takes a higher dose of Hydrocodone (Vicodin) to equal the same pain alleviating effect of Oxycodone. I've been prescribed both and personally the hydrocodone didn't ever successfully alleviate any pain.
