Midol is Ibuprofen. You can only take Ibuprofen a minimum of 4 hours apart and with food. You should not exceed a maximum of 2.4grams over 3 to 4 divided does over 24 hours. With regards to acetaminophen it can be taken with Ibuprofen and it will enhance the effects of the Ibuprofen. I would advise that you have a friend of family member with you the first few times that you try it just to make sure that you are OK. You can take 500mg -1gram of acetaminophen 4-6 hourly. But not exceed 4grams over 24 hours. Always read the patient information regarding medication usage. I think that you should see a Doctor regarding your neck and back pain if you have not done so already.
