My doctor prescribed Megace for the same reason... unusual menstrual bleeding. I have been bleeding for a month and have been taking Megace for 1 week. The bleeding has almost subsided with very minimal spotting. My problem is I don't want to have to take another pill everyday! I have found no information on this drug being used for stopping bleeding and I am starting to freak out! I see my doctor in two weeks. We are going to have a very long discussion about this drug. I have noticed an increase in hot flashes during the night and I feel angry for no reason. This has got to stop!
