A 20mg oxycontin OP cut it into 4's with a pill cutter... what would 1 piece of that pill r?

This is very hard to do. My first script of Oxy time release was misread and the pharmacy would only give me 1/2 and told me to cut them in half. These are very small, compacted and domed pills. It was almost impossible to get any true cuts. And there is no reason to try to cut into 4s, because I know there's a 10 mg out there. I'd go to another doctor. My doctor was shocked that they directed me to "cut in half" these pills. I've always heard time release cannot be split due to the unevenness that will result in the cut.
