39 weeks of pregnancy starting Azopt..I am 33 yo and am 39 wks pregnant and having to start Azopt because timolol isn't working and the pressure in my eyes is 44 (l) and 23 (r). I've had lots of floaters some flashes in the left eye but after an optic nerve and retina exam all looks to be intact and ok. My question is if there's any data on breast feeding, can I do it? If not and my pressure goes down p birth of my baby what's the elimination cycle/half-life of Azopt.

Azopt (brinzolamide) is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
There are no data on the excretion of Azopt into human milk. Because of the potential for adverse effects on the nursing infant, a decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
