25mg of anafranil helped me 20 years ago when I was 21. I stopped taking it and now I had a stessful situation that had happened to me and my OCD really came back and hit me hard again. I'm back on the 25mg of anafranil after trying 20mg of paxil. At 41 should this 25mg of anafranil help me again? And how long should I give this dosage a try? Thank You

You know it's weird I haven't been in the pharmacy for 2 years,i'm still looking but at least i can help out hear & there.I'm guessing you'll have to start there.Since i have bipolar i know you have to wait a week or two at least.Then if you feel know differant you call your doctor & he'll raise it.I know it's hard i'm still messing with mine because of the weight gain issues.It's hard because my mood is just not in the right place & i'm having a hard time.It's been 5 years i've been messing with this.I didn't even find out about the bipolar till 5 years ago,i knee about the depression when i was 18.Just be patient & if you need anything i'm a type away.

Hello I was on anafranil, years ago. Its been around for a long time. I took it for close to five years, my body became tolerant to it. So it was stopped. Your dose isn't that high, and you've been off of it for some time, so, yes it should help you once again. Very best to you,pledge

Man..my heart goes out to you..Your answer is what I figured... It's hard I know it. It's actually a pain I can imagine for you. It is for me..
