First time to ask a question... I am 47 and have been taking pain meds for 15 years. Started out taking them from a back injury and just never stopped taking them. It took a long time for my tolerance to go up. I originally was hovering around 30-35mgs of Norco for years and years... then as time went on it started to increase but not to bad really. It was odd that I would get a buzz and pain relief from the 30-35 for years and increased over the past 5 yrs or so to around 50-60 mgs of Norco and never going over 60. I recently switched to perc's and take 4 10/325's max a day which I think is the same as 60mg Norco. The big problem is that over the 15 years it has changed me... no motivation, no direction, no memory etc... I have tried to stop before and only get down to the 30mgs and go right back up. I do have a horrible back with the usual degenerative disease. Every time i think about quitting I just can't seem to start. I worry about withdraw as I have experienced it just enough not to proceed with it. I was wondering what the most painless taper process is? I have no problems getting what I need to effectively complete it as I have a great understanding doc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! !
Take care...
