That amount on the bottle is actually referring to the amoun of acetaminophen (tylenol) If you look at a prescription bottle of vicodin it will say 10/1000. the 10 means 10 mg of hydrocodone and the 1000 is the amount of tylenol. so when someone says they have a script for 1000 mg vicodin its actually 10 mg of hydrocodone and 1000 mg of acetaminophen.
