I am on Norvasc (10MG) for over a decade. I am 64 years old. I do walk 35 minutes 5 days a week. Everyone in my family suffers from high blood pressure and many died at early age. Norvasc works very well with me. The pressure is under control.
My first question is if this medicine is causing my bloody sports all over my lower legs. The burst (small spots/dots) occurs a few times a year. At that point the skin is almost purple, itchy and burning. After a couple of days the itchiness disappears, but the skin on my legs turns all spotty brown.
The second question would be my severe leg muscle cramps. They occur almost every night (morning), the pain is unbearable. Are these two occurrences the Norvasc side effects? What can I do to eliminate them?
