Seroquel (Seriquil) is used with or without other medications to treat bipolar disorder (manic depression) and schizophrenia (a mental disorder marked by delusions, hallucinations and and loss of contact with reality). Seroquel (Seriquil) is known as an anti-psychotic drug (atypical type). It works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural chemicals (neurotransmitters) in the brain.

Seroquel (Seriquil) side effects may include constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, stomach pain/upset, tiredness, weight gain, nasal congestion and dry mouth.
