Medications for Cholelithiasis with Acute Cholecystitis

Cholelithiasis is the presence of gallstones in the gallbladder. Gallstones are hard, pebble-like deposits that can vary in size from a grain of sand to a golf ball. Gallstones may cause no signs or symptoms. Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder. In most case cholecystitis is caused by gallstones that block the tube leading out of your gallbladder. It causes a build up of bile in the gallbladder which causes abdominal pain. Surgical removal of the gallbladder may be required.
