Well, I suffer from cancer to my tongue, actually my tongue was removed and I'm receiving chemo once a week of Cetuximab/Avastin, but I have a terrrible pain in my body and also in my throat. I take Hydorcod/acetamino during the whole day and 3 tablets of lorazepam 1 mg. before going to bed, any advise?
Can I take lorazepam 1 mg. 1 hour after taking Hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5/500mg. (lortab)?

Dave, thank you very much for your answer, you really help me a lot, now what I forgot to ask was: I take 2 Tbsp. (30 ml) of Hydrocodone every 3 hrs. Can I take 2 Tablets of Lorazepam 1 mg. also? Or please tell me the dosis I should take in order to control my pain

I take one mil of Ativan and then a couple hours later I take one Oxycodone and that helps my back. I have taken Ativan for over 30 years for panic disorder. Than I had a back fusion and never got better. And take one Oxycodone a day. But not at once. Is that dangerous?

I see this is from over seven years ago. I'm curious as to how you are doing & if you got through five years of no cancer so perhaps you were cured. If you could drop a line it would be nice.
As for anyone in your case with that question of can you take something or is it safe, there is nowhere online to get that answer other than directly through the one who prescribed it and talking with a pharmacist. CVS has pharmacists round the clock so you can always call them & they know a lot about drugs and interactions.
The one who prescribed should have gone over this so it is possible a person in pain while having anxiety simply forget exactly what was said but most medical people giving RX for this combo to a person as ill as you were Jorge, should or would have also printed instructions out so look for those too and ask for a print out to come in email etc so you can see in print what to do, when to do and all the safety measures for your situation and each person is different. A person with mild to no pain taking that combo will react differently as well as someone not used to those drugs vs someone in good deal of pain who has taken those drugs before as the body builds tolerance which makes things different in dosing and combos.
I sure hope you're okay Jorge. Your message came to my attention because I'm in a bad boat myself with things on cheek of mouth inside. Very frightful situation & of course pain but the fear seems the worst to me. Fear of disfigurement for me more than other things & I've been in medical area since 1982 so it's a long time in that end of things. I started really young though.

Yes, you can take it as you need it. Once you are used to these meds then you can take them as you need them. When you feel pain coming on then you take a hydrocodone. Same with anxiety, you take a lorazepam. Lorazepam will also help you relax and let the painkiller do it's job, so taking two together wouldn't be a bad idea if the pain is particularly bad...
